Here goes...
1. In an afront to states’ rights (something Republicans used to care about) and election security, Trump is trying to get rid of all mail-in voting via executive order (MSNBC, CNN, BBC, Politico, Fox News). Mail in voting is THE most secure system of voting we have in this country. Guys like Musk can’t mess with it. It’s also much less expensive than voting machines. You have to wonder why Republicans want to spend so much more money than necessary in order to use machines. Well, I don’t have to wonder.
2. Trump this week: "When you go to a voting booth, and you do it the right way, and you go to a state that runs it properly, you go in -- they even asked me, they asked me for my license plate. I said, 'I don't know if I have it.' They said, 'Sir, you have to have it.' I was very impressed actually." Ya, I remember when I had to take my LICENSE PLATE to the polls.
3. So stupid you’d think he was trying to be stupid. But he’s not. He’s just lying.
4. Just unhinged, but he posts something like this every single day. (But Biden took Ambien the day before a debate one time so - its the same.)
We're the "HOTTEST" country in the world y'all ("hot" like Beyonce? or Brad Pitt? Just, what the actual...?). And your friendly reminder that if you think "woke" is a bad thing, you don't know what it is. You've been fed marketing drivel by a lifelong conman and right wing media.
5. Office of Government Ethics filings show Trump has purchased $100M+ of bonds since January. He did a massive crypto scam in which almost everyone but him lost money, he then invested that money in industries and companies that seek to influence him – or he seeks to influence. This is, once again, in-your-face corruption. There is a reason this kind of thing has always been considered unethical or in some cases illegal and even the most ethically challenged presidents before Trump didn’t do it.
6. The Trump administration is now reviewing all 55 million people in the country with US visas for potential deportations. (BBC, NYT, Axios, AP News)
7. Fucker Carlson (oh shoot, that was a typo. Really. Totally accidental. (Sorry mom)) apparently warms to the idea of Hitler being the one on the correct side during WWII, “It turns out I think the story we got about World War II is all wrong… one can make the argument that we should have sided with Hitler.” They are sane-washing Hitler, and white-washing slavery. These are strange times.
8. Ron DeSantis has had the rainbow crosswalk outside of Pulse nightclub ripped up in a disgraceful overnight assault on the value of people he doesn’t like (like me). This crosswalk was meant to memorialize the 49 who lost their lives in a mass shooting. (BBC, NBC News, The Guardian) He didn’t have to do this. It was not in any way a safety hazard (don’t fall for that). He didn’t have to do it. He chose to. Protestors are trying to repaint it, but DeSantis will destroy it again, because that’s what hateful bigots happily do. To my unending, soul crushing, disappointment, Trump has made it clear how many truly hateful, bigoted people there are in this country. Gleeful meanness. People. Still. Grieve. Just leave it alone. All you had to do was nothing. I really can’t talk about this anymore.
9. James Dobson is dead, and I’ll just quote Clarence Darrow: "I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure". Some people rightfully refer to the founder of Focus on the Family as the Godfather of child abuse. Here is an example.
10. Putin bombed an American factory with 600 workers in Ukraine right after the meetings in Alaska. (ABC News, Fox News). Even that psychopath Newt Gingrich is calling it deliberate. Bet hey, let’s literally have our troops roll out the red carpet for Putin. Also, right after this happened (THE BOMBING) Trump weirdly started showing off a picture in a press conference of he and Putin. This is just WEIRD.
11. Trump just kiIIed a $4B wind farm that was 80% completed. 45 of the turbines were already built! It was enough to power 350k homes in Rhode Island and Connecticut by next Spring (not to mention eliminating 100s of jobs). Why? You know – the same ole, same ole- own the libs. That, and he loathes wind turbines because he lost the fight to get rid of the ones you can see from his golf course in Scotland.
12. It looks like Alligator Alcatraz is going to have to shut down (hopefully for good). What’s that saying – “play stupid games, win stupid prizes”. This was always a stupid dick-swinging (sorry mom) MAGA fantasy project. More “owning the libs and dehumanizing brown people for fun.” But again Folks, good news is good.

15. From Maureen Dowd: “Trump whitewashing slavery is the ultimate act of white privilege from a nepo baby who is the apotheosis of white privilege.” This short opinion piece in NYT is excellent.
