What is wrong with these people?

Here goes...

1. This year the Trump Administration has stripped the LEGAL status of 1.6 million immigrants.

2. The Department of Justice has halted more than $90 million of Congressionally appropriated funds for human trafficking survivors.

3. Bari Weiss, Head of CBS (and by the way, a Jewish lesbian) pulled a 60 Minutes story under pressure from the Trump Administration. The story was in depth reporting about the immigrants sent to an El Salvadoran prison illegally. When our most important news organizations are censoring themselves to please the government we no longer have a free press which, as you know is essentially to democracy.

4. Canada to the rescue! Well the segment was accidentally aired online in Canada and our friends to the north recorded and shared it widely. Look folks, if we are having to rely on sources outside of the US to get uncensored news we are basically North Korea.

5. Trump suspends all offshore wind farms currently under construction (including 3 set to be finished in 2026), canceling at least 10,000 jobs and over $25 BILLION in investments. They would have provided electricity for 2.7 million homes. (CNN)

6. A new education manifesto backed by Heritage, PragerU, Moms for Liberty, and multiple state officials has a plan to redirect public education funding toward religion, privatization, and “patriotic” loyalty. Yikes. They really do hate the system of government our founders created.

7. Bill Clinton calls for the release of ALL of the Epstein files – and also, conveniently, calls Republicans bluff.

8. Trump rejected Colorado’s request for federal disaster relief after fires and severe flash flooding. Why, oh why, does the President, on his own, get to approve or deny such requests?

9. A judge ordered the Trump administration to submit plans for return of migrants deported to El Salvador prison. Well, that’s awesome but WHO WILL ENFORCE THE LAW?

10. Um, what?

I’ll have Thousand Island on that word salad.

11. The DOJ is acting as Trump’s legal team, and PR firm. THE DOJ SHOULD NEVER – EVER – RELEASE A STATEMENT LIKE THIS. It is not normal. It is dangerous.

12. ICE agents break into a woman's bathroom in a NY nutrition bar manufacturing plant.” Pull up your pants," says a male agent. They only had a warrant to review employer documents. They didn't have a warrant to search for, detain, or arrest anyone there.

13. A federal judge ordered the release of a disabled US Army veteran detained by ICE in Tacoma Monday. He had been in detention for around 4 months. FOUR MONTHS.

“Muhammad Zahid Chaudhry, who is originally from Pakistan and has been living in the United States since 2000, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Aug. 21 at the Tukwila U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office after completing a scheduled citizenship interview.”

14. In Yakima, Washington (State), on Christmas Eve, ICE arrested a man on the parking lot of a Walmart and then divided up the man’s groceries among themselves.

Are we getting what is happening here? Trump has his own gestapo, accountable to no one, allowed to cover their faces and brutalize brown people. This is not a few “bad apples”.

15. They told us they were going after the “worst of the worst”. Not only are they sending people with no criminal record to a notorious prison in El Salvador, at least 50 of those sent were NOT illegal immigrants.

And guess what, even if they were all violent criminals they still are required by law to be given due process. That is how you know if they are criminals or not. It’s a lot more accurate that just assuming they are criminals because they are brown, but apparently less satisfying.

16. Again “worst of the worst”……The Trump administration wants to set quotas for DENATURALIZING American citizens. Let me guess – they are all brown, right? Yes, I’m focusing a lot on racism in this blog. 1. It seems to be at the root of most of the heinous things this Administration does, and 2. There are 1.7 million undocumented immigrants from Europe, Canada, and Asia and so far we haven’t seen those folks ripped from their families and dragged off to some ICE detention center without due process.

17. Trump posted over 150 times on Christmas Day (can we just stop for a moment and acknowledge that this behavior is batshit crazy? THIS IS NOT NORMAL). The posts were mostly pushing conspiracy theories. And then there was this inspiring message embodying the joy of Christmas.

Someone (Josh Ash) on Threads wrote, “Scum, he called us, parum pum pum pum.” And I can’t stop laughing.

18. Hey all, as you know, ***some*** of the Epstein files dropped this week. They were poorly redacted by DOJ (really? Fire all the career agents and put in incompetent, inexperienced, lackies and the quality if the work is impacted? So weird. Anyway…). I’m not going to say much about it in this list except that what has been released is horrific. It requires a deep dive.

19. Then on Christmas Day Trump bombed Nigeria claiming he was defending Christians in the country. Huh. Why hasn’t he made it easier for all of those persecuted Christians to emigrate to the US? What could it be?
