"My doctor, now telling everyone he is out of network."

Ginger

Here goes..

1. Another Iranian Lego video. I’m fascinated with these.

2. Trump posted this.

Hey, Evangelicals, what creative excuses are you coming up with for this one? And please do not start with “Trump actually thought it was him as a doctor” because that is just dumb. Funny, but dumb.

After Trump admitted he posted it and claimed he thought the image was him as a doctor, of course the internet did it's thing...

Trump: “only the fake news would come up with that…” (that the image shows him as Jesus.) Only the fake news??? Really? Because he looks like a DOCTOR and not Jesus in the image?

3. The United States is Destroying Itself. This is an excellent article from The Guardian…which almost no one will read because it is so depressing. What are we going to do about that? They are exhausting us on purpose. They want us tired and hopeless, so we won’t adequately resist what they are doing. Here is one paragraph from the article.

“Across the branches of government, the services that are supposed to protect us – nuclear stockpile monitoring, cybersecurity, counter-terrorism – are being undermined, understaffed or trashed. A different kind of protection that consists of public health, vaccination programs, food safety, clean air and water, social services, civil rights and the rule of law is also under attack. The federal government that serves us is being starved while the federal government that serves the Trump agenda and the oligarchy is glutting itself on taxpayer money, including the grotesque sums dumped on the Department of Homeland Security and the US military now being warped into Pete Hegseth’s twisted vision of a ruthless mercenary force. Hegseth has reportedly stood in the way of promotions for more than a dozen Black and female officers.”

4. A court this week said that the Department Of Defense cannot change name to the Department Of War. Only Congress can do so. Well great.

5. Here is 30 years of Netanyahu telling us Iran is days away from a nuclear weapon.

6. The US Department of Justice actually posted this on social media. The United States Department of Justice. Our government.

7. Heather Cox Richardson: “Viktor Orbán was using government money to finance the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). So, it appears that CPAC was funded by a foreign government that was working closely with Vladimir Putin.”

Folks, CPAC = the MAGA movement. And it’s basically a Russian op. Lots of enthusiastic Americans ate it right up, but a Russian op nevertheless.

8. Who could have predicted this when we have RFK, Director of Health and Human Sacrifice in charge?

RFK says, “yeah buy, but, there is a worldwide resurgence of measles.” Correct RFK, because you folks convinced people during COVID that vaccines are bad. It turns out lower vaccine rates lead to higher incidence of vaccine preventable diseases. So weird right?

9. Trump's illegal tariffs will cost the American people $166 billion. Businesses can apply for refunds. You and me? No.

10. In this week’s edition of Why is JD Vance Such an Asshole – Well, this week JD literally campaigned for a wannabe dictator, Victor Orban, and also said "Stopping funding for Ukraine is one of the things I’m proudest we’ve done in this administration."

What kind of American goes and CAMPAIGNS for an authoritarian dictator? And then revels in screwing over an ally? The current Administration has basically rejected Western civilization.

Thank goodness Orban lost. But here is the thing, you know they tried to cheat. But the people turned out in numbers big enough to make cheating impossible. WE NEED THAT ENERGY HERE.

(Someone on social media called Vance the “Pillsbury Proudboy “and I can’t stop giggling)

11. So, Trump is feuding with the Pope. So dumb. The Administration even tried to strong-arm the Vaticanactually threatening them. Everything the Pope says and does makes Trump look like a selfish idiot (which admittedly is not hard), you know, promoting peace and human rights (the gall!), calling Trump out for his “ending civilization” posts.

So Trump, to get back at the Pope, punishes………….poor people. Yes, poor people, by cutting $11 million from Catholic Charities (proving of course that the Pope’s assessment of Trump is spot on).

12. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent giving the average working person terrible financial advice: "I want to encourage everyone out there watching today to change their withholding ... you will get an automatic real wage increase on a weekly or a monthly basis."

13. These video compilations are really something. “No new wars…”:

And all of MAGA and regular Republicans and Trump supporters believed it – until Trump started a new war and then they were for new wars.

14. Oh hey, he U.S. Treasury concluded the US has officially gone into insolvency last week. Yep. Interestingly, Factcheck.org and Snopes.com are saying that the Treasury did not say that exact thing, but the financial data is pretty clear.

15. My prediction: Any ceasefire we work out with Iran needs to include Israel (and whoever they happen to be bombing at the time…). But every ceasefire agreement will be broken by Israel because Netanyahu just can’t seem to stop himself from killing people.

Why, I ask again, why are we so devoted to Israel? Why would we partner with them in a war? Netanyahu’s ruthlessness and bloodlust rivals the Nazis and I realize how ironic that is(!)

The most fervent supporters seem to be Evangelicals. Do they understand that we give them $billions$ ever year, and THEY have universal healthcare, cheap college, and easy access to abortion servics?

16. National Security Threat and Religious Fanatic Pete Hegseth delivered a speech this week in which he quoted a long monologue from the movie Pulp Fiction. Except it appears as though he thought it was from the Bible. It does sound like something that would come from the Bible (the Old Testament at least), but no, it was Samuel L. Jackson delivering a righteous speech about vengeance and wrath right before murdering people.

Essentially, the purpose of the speech in the movie is to intimidate victims, and justify Samuel L. Jackson’s character’s violent acts by framing himself as an instrument of divine vengeance, acting as the shepherd protecting the weak.

Hegseth, yikes.

(Everyone understands that that Hegseth meme is quoting Price right? I don't need to explain that. Right??)
